I'm going to start out with telling you guys that I have a special name. Have to spell it every time someone has to use it in different situations. Going strong on my 23 year, and one hundred and seventy-nine and a half centimeters from the ground. I like to wear clothes that are painted in drab colors. I live with my wonderful boyfriend 10 minutes from campus. I'm quite fond of free time, cuddling with my boyfriend, chocolate and laughing out loud and hard, lying in bed, reading, dancing around in our apartment, wasting money on clothes and eating out (my wallet is light, and my visa is worn out). But anyway, sure. People who know me see me as kind. I think a lot of my loved ones and want them to feel good. I talk to my mother on the phone every day. On the outside I can seem unapproachable, but truth be told, I can't say that I have an attitude. I have no idea what to talk to people about, so conversations can get strained sometimes. Perhaps it's my force field that hides my uncertainty and a bit of a lack of confidence that shines through. I have strong opinions. My bad sides are amongst others that I'm quite lazy, can't stand authority, can wind myself up over little details and a lack of self-discipline and tendency to procrastinate. This turned out pretty long so I'll finish with things I love and like: music, clothes, traveling, my friends, boyfriend and family, food, Coke Zero, my little sister, sunshine, home, love, happiness.

Can you feel it? Red makes me feel so Christmas-ish. But red isn't just red. You can get it in numerous different shades. Love the red on picture no. 2 & 3. This red isn't so vibrant red; it seems to have a coral tone over it (does this make any sense?). Well, red! Perhaps? It really depends on how you feel whilst wearing it. I'm a black/white/gray kinda girl. One possibility would be that this color could spice everything up a bit.

First he came with some books I've ordered from Amazon, and later on he came with a big box from Asos. I just låååve when the postman visits! I was so excited to open the Asos package. I ordered the stuff Sunday evening, and already had it today.

What a beautiful illustration.. Well, you get the point. This was what was waiting for me in the Asos package. Lovely stuff. Everything lived up to my expectations.
I am quite excited to try the Essie nail polish. There is a lot of hype around Essie, so I'm excited to see if it lasts longer than others. Last time I had nail polish on my nails, it lasted for 1 1/2 days and then it started to crack and fall of. I'll report back later.

I read this post at the blog Miel Mon Miel and fell in love with Music Philosophy. See for yourself:

This last one is actually a quote from one of my favorite songs. Had the privilege to see Guillemots in concert in 2007 and again in 2008. Lovely. Look back on (especially the first concert) with fond memories and a smile on my face. The party went on all night, and in the morning I met the drummer outside a warehouse building. At first I didn't know it was him, and we started joking around and having dance-offs. Later on when my head cleared up the pieces fell into place, and then I was starstruck.
A bit into the song "Made Up Love Song #43" a school-bell rings, and I remember at the first concert they used a cowbell instead... It's a great detail in the song, and I think it's funny that they replaced it with a cowbell.

Well, more about the project. The guys name is Mico. He is a designer, who likes music and typography. So, he combined them and created Music Philosophy.

The pictures are from when they performed at Roskilde Festival. It was a really good concert. My 2. favorite of the bunch. Just overtaken by Nissenenmondai from Japan (but I won't say more about that in this post)

Christabelle was really charming on stage and addressed the audience whilst Lindstrøm produced spacey, heavy bass-sounds behind his gear.

My thoughts go to Giorgio Moroder when I hear music like this - their music is italo disco combined with their own sound. If you don't know them, I recommend you to check them out. Start with this song and get inspired.

Went to Tivoli to get the wrist-band earlier today - I was expecting a long line and hours of waiting, but there was nothing of that sort. We were done in 10 minutes! 10 minutes! And whilst waiting you could buy beer and hot-dogs. Nice one Roskilde. The mood was chilled and laid-back and a DJ was playing. Being there was a little taste of festival life. I was so excited getting the ticket exchanged to the wristband. The whole thing seemed more real when I got the wrist-band on. It's happening! It's real, it's now!

Was looking around (well, actually procrastinating) on this tumblr blog when I saw a picture that caught my eye. Followed the link and ended up here and became a little wiser. Matt W. Moore is the artist behind these paintings. He arrived in Paris with no art, no supplies and no firm plan for his paintings. The ideas for the artwork actualized whilst spending time and absorbing France and french culture. One month later he had the exhibition. The paintings are created entirely with spray paint.

I think that the effect that the spray-paint brings to the painting is breathtaking. I like the colors and the geometric shapes and the shadow-play that I didn't notice until I took a good look at the pictures. They make me want to buy masking tape and paint geometric shapes in strong colors.

I Googled him and found more of his work. His website and his news blog are worth a visit. He has done some interesting things. It has been my experience when I have picked up a paint brush, that when you work with art like this (I'm thinking relatively modern, bold colors and graphic silhoettes) it is easy to fall into a rut or have a tendency to paint particular shapes (not even intentional - just subconsciously), but not Matt. Somewhere in Berlin on the 25th of April, city artists threw paint in front of the lights, so the cars, bicycles, pedestrians and so on were transformed into paint-brushes.

BEAUTIFUL ALTERNATIVE ART!

Afterward the city artists put posters up saying that the paint is biodegradable, washable and organic. Gotta love the environment

I've been thinking about this post from Slutever the last couple of days. To explain it in Karley's own words:

"Over the past three months, she (red; her friend Mavi) collected more than 5,000 images and screen grabs from the Facebook profiles of people all over the world, most of whom she doesn’t know. (...) She then took these idealized images of youth and printed them on t-shirts, made them into popstar-esque posters, and framed them as if they were her own. The result of her obsession is something both beautiful and creepy, depending on how you look at it."
